ALEX OTAOLA
GRAPHIC DESIGN
BANNER
Tasked with the compelling assignment to celebrate the 122nd anniversary of the Republic of Cuba’s establishment, Magicommerce crafted an impactful visual campaign for Alex Otaola’s mayoral bid in Miami-Dade. This project was a fusion of historical tribute and vibrant electoral messaging designed to resonate deeply within the Cuban-American community.
Our design encapsulates a dual celebration – the rich history of Cuba and the vibrant future Otaola envisions for Miami-Dade. The use of iconic Cuban imagery, like the Morro Castle, paired with the evocative backdrop of the sea, ties in with the theme of freedom and resilience. The bold red banner topped with white stars reflects the Cuban flag and the spirit of independence.
The banner integrates bilingual text that honors the past while looking forward to the future. It connects emotionally with the Cuban-American community by reminding them of their heritage and the ongoing struggle for liberty and prosperity. Alex Otaola’s vision for Miami-Dade is seamlessly woven into the fabric of this historical celebration, presenting him as a unifying figure poised to lead with integrity and passion.
The typography selected is robust and transparent, ensuring the anniversary message is prominent and integrated within the campaign’s visual flow. Our chosen color palette of red, white, and blue reflects the Cuban flag and stands as a universal symbol of freedom and unity.
This campaign design commemorates a crucial historical event, and the band amplifies Alex Otaola’s commitment to his roots and constituents. It is crafted to reflect history and inspire a community toward a future filled with hope and progress.
At Magicommerce, we pride ourselves on creating designs that tell a story. This project exemplifies how historical themes can be seamlessly integrated into modern campaign materials to resonate deeply with an audience and drive emotional and political engagement.
